I don’t think the Bosphorus Stait being closed would have much long term damage to the USA. Apparently there is an underground tunnel similar to the Channel tunnel. It also has two bridges, one is kinda old. The leadership may tear it down and say it was attacked. All paid for and under the disguise of a war.
Although as we’ve seen anything that gets put in the media that closes or is destroyed, initially spikes fears and markets. It’s controlled by Turkey and is used by Russian navy. I don’t see it closing just being restricted to foreign military in that region. Not much to do with shipping commerce to the USA.
